Just to give everyone who may be wondering real world speed differences between the 2, I had to take an approximetly 35 minute iMovie project and burn it to DVD using IDVD.
Both systems had 1 gig of ram, and the exact same size hard drives and free space, both freshly loaded with all apple updates.

The Intel macbook did the whole project from start to finish in 1 Hour 8 minutes.

The 12inch Powerbook G4 1.5 took 2 Hours 20 Minutes!

Just FYI for those who like real world benchmarks
15" Macbook Pro 1.83 2 GB RAM
Blackbook 13.3 Powerhouse 2 GB RAM
MacMini Dual Core 2 GB RAM (Sadly running Windows Most of the time)
Numerouse Workstations running windows and Linux. Sorry don't have the specs, I don't pay much attention to them anymore. :)

No, the 12-inch 1.5Ghz G4 PowerBooks do not include a DL super-drive.
