No luck with that either. Buy RAM from Crucial. Good value, good service and excellent quality.

not necessarily.

it depends on what al powerbook you have. i currently have a 1gb stick of ddr2 memory (made for the 17" 1.67ghz powerbook (hi-res)) inside my intel imac, along with the 1gb stick that it came pre-installed in. and it works perfectly, and i only paid $60 after rebate from newegg.com

compare that to $100+ for the 1gb stick of ram made for the intel macs

you have to make sure the ram is ddr2. if it isn't, it won't work. for example, i have a 15" powerbook (1.25ghz), and the ram is ddr, NOT ddr2. so the ram is not "swappable"

go to crucial.com and put in the model of powerbook you have. you'll be able to see if you have ddr or ddr2. good luck

"No luck with that either" appears to be correct. And WOW that crucial ram is alot. LIke twice the cost of patriot or transcend. Any difference between those two?
