My G3 iBook spits out the Tiger disk?!

I want to do the install but it simply pukes the disk once it gets spooled up. Any thoughs?

The ibook is spitting out the Tiger disk because Tiger comes on DVD and your ibook does not have a DVDROM drive.

Check to see if you have a CDRW/DVD Drive (aka combo drive) or a CD only drive.

..........I guess I always had a CD open whenever I put one in the tray!? Never paid attention before. I guess I can crosswire my iMac and use its drive.. Thanks.

firewire target disk mode should help you here.

Or copy it to an external drive or an ipod. I installed tiger from an old 10 gig ipod one time...worked beautifully.
