Hi Everyone,

When I have a firewire device connected to my macbook, the iSight will only show a green screen in PhotoBooth. When I disconnect the firewire and reboot, iSight works fine again.

Should I be allowed to use both at once? I read somewhere that the iSight shares the firewire port, so maybe this is normal behaviour? Should I take it back to Apple and demand satisfaction?

Yes, you should definitely be able to use both at the same time! Take it in, something's very wrong. I can use my iSight with my external FW400 drives connected (20" intel iMac).

I had a bad Firewire cable fry the motherboard on my 1st generation TiBook. I'd also try replacing the cable as well.....
