Any ideas? I ordered the $999 model on 5/30 to get in before the rebate ended (I had not made up my mind which laptop I wanted). The original ship date had me at the end of July, receiving it beginning of August (I chose the 1 day shipping for $3.99 since I am an amazon prime member).

I logged in to cancel my order since I ordered a 2ghz macbook from elsewhere that shipped today, but now it says shipping soon. So either it is a mistake, or they have received a large order and everyone should have their orders shipped out soon. I emailed amazon.com to ask about this, and see about not having to pay for shipping back since they shipped it much earlier than I had anticipated.

Or you can just refuse shipment and it will go back to them and you'll be credited.

hrm...thats always a possibility. You sure that amazon.com doesnt screw you over and charge you shipping both ways if you do that like some companies do?

The other problem is that I gave them my address I will be at in a few weeks once I move, not my current one since I didnt plan on it arriving so soon.

No one will even be at that address, so hopefully amazon.com gets back to me soon, since the laptop will show up Friday if it gets shipped out tomorrow.

EDIT: just got a reply from amazon.com, just they said to refuse the package once it comes in...
