Me and my cousin bro accidently mixed our ac adapters, i have an ibook 12.1 and he has a powerbook 12.1. Both ac adapters are identical, my problem is we want OUR OWN ac adapters back.
one ac adapter has a serial number LQ51201163R7ED and the other LQ60203312A7EE, my ibook was bought 9 months ago and his powerbook 1 month ago. Please help us differentiate which one is mine and his. Thank you!

Seriously?
Ok, swap adapters and you'll have your own back.

I would assume the LQ6 is for the PB. Both are 65W and usable by either laptop if that's your concern.

no no... both are 45 watt power adapters, not 65. iBook and 12" PowerBooks use 45 watt ones (though they can use 65, it just goes down to 45)
For most MAJOR part serial numbers (computers, ipods, isights, etc) the you can find out the mnufacture date from the 3rd - 5th digits. 3rd digit equals year manufactured. and 4th and 5th digit equals week in the year. So according to that logic...
LQ51201163R7ED was manufactured in 2005, 12th week
LQ60203312A7EE was manufactured in 2006, 2nd week
This makes sense... since these parts are usually manufactured weeks ahead of the computer... So I'd guess that LQ51201163R7ED is for your iBook and the LQ60203312A7EE is for the PowerBook.

Interesting that they are the same. My 12" PowerBook's AC adapter's end (the part you plug into the computer) is white, while my wife's iBook G3 adapter's end is silver. That always seemed the opposite of what it should be to me.

That's because your wife probably has a G3 500 or 600, which was before they updated the power adapter to the white design.

They've always made slight improvements and changes.. even though the adapters have largly been the same. You'll also notice that the cord coming out of the one with the silver plug is not reinforced like yours. Then they made the cords thicker when they meed the plug, etc.
