I just have a few, quick beginner MacBook questions. If this is the wrong section then please disregard my post!

When the MacBook goes to Sleep because of inactivity, does it continue to run programs/download stuff? If not, is there a way to make it that it does?

Also, when I put the screen down on the MacBook all music stops and I believe the programs shut down too. Is there a way to make it not do that either?

Thanks...

Question 1.
Tell your computer not to sleep, only to shut off the display. Sleepign will cause your programs to stop, no matter what.

Question 2.

Are you hooking this up to an external display? if so plug in an external keyboard and press a button after you close the lid. The other display will turn on.
