Intel's own spec page for the Duo shows the processor can address 4gb of RAM.

Have any of you actually installed 2 of the 2gb chips such as these:

http://techbargains.pricegrabber.com...lot_id=2822912

and what has been the result?

More heat?
More programs in memory?
More speed?
More kernel panics?
slower bus speed?
no benefit because of addressing issues?
lower battery life on portable use?

How are memory matched in pairs when we buy them as matched pairs?

one day we will be able to have an entire DVD movie stored in Ram

Apple and Intel worked jointly on the circuit board designs, supposedly.

Do we have to wait for later revisions?

Any thoughts?

Er, it looks like you've liked to a 2 GB paired set, ie 2x1GB sticks.

Machines have worked in the past with going over their rated RAM capacities, but I wouldn't expect Apple to respond well to complaints about it not working if there were 2GB SODIMMs.

Sorry,

I went by the photo........not the fine print.

Here's an example: http://www.crucial.com/store/partspe...E=CT25664AC667

but not the pricing.........more than the MacBook itself.....but at least they're showing up.

I had seen Hynix 2gb (per stick) on the Intel forum before.
