"No pictures in folder" for screensaver

	I've recently transferred all my files from a G3 iBook to a G4 PowerBook. Everything went fine, except now when I go into System Preferences to select the folder I would like to use for my screensaver, I get a message saying there are no pictures in that folder. I've tried many different folders -- all which of chockoblock with pictures -- and get the same message. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong??
