I got my Macbook yesterday and when i go to turn on my Macbook today it loads strange, first the dock does not appear and in the upper right corner its says sata right next to the battery life, and when i point my mouse to were it says sata the screen goes white. It looks like the hard drive is damaged and i really need help what can i do? Also i don't have a apple store were i live.

You might try starting up with the DVD that came with your MacBook.

Hold down the C key while you restart with the DVD in the drive. Be patient since the drive loads much slower than the hard drive. When the screen arrives where you select English, go to the upper menu bar and open disk utility. When it opens, try verify or repair after selecting your hard drive and note the results.

Also, you could go into an Apple Store, if that's geographically possible, and have them check it out for you.
