Just thought I'd post a "Real World" performance benchmark for my new MacBook. I'm using the 2.0 version with 1 Gig of RAM. I'm ripping a DVD using Handbrake and getting 85 fps. Performing exactly the same task on my 12 Inch Powerbook (1.5 Ghz) with 768 megs of RAM, I was lucky to get 35 fps. Nt sure how mch difference the extra 256 Megs of RAM would make but it's so much faster on my MacBook.
(I'm ripping a DVD that I own for my personal viewing on my iPod with video.)
