I am having TWO desktops show up in my save dialogue boxes....but not in my finder. WTF?? I would love to get rid of the "blank" desktop (nothing shows on it when I click it). Any ideas? Anyone with the same problem? I think it may be a leftover from migration assistant. I also did a re-install after migrating, because somehow I deleted the airport extension, if that helps.

Can you explain what you mean by two desktops? Do you mean in the sidebar on the left in the save dialog? A screen shot would help.

if you dont know...apple+shift+3 gives you a full screen shot and apple+shift+4 gives you crosshairs so you could select what you want a screen grab of.

Delete the preferences file named com.apple.sidebarlists.plist, found in your user's Library/Preferences folder.

Please note that action will remove all custom items from the sidebar, so take note of such items before deleting that plist file.
