hey guys, my trackpad is acting really weird.. when i'm navigating or browsing around the mouse cursor suddenly jumps couple of inches on the screen..it goes from center to the end of the page..It has become a major annoyance

I have tried everything from unchecking the "Ignore accidental trackpad input" to increasing/decreasing the mouse sensitivity/tracking speed option in the preferences.

I don't have any third party software e.g. Sidetrack installed on my MBP.

please help

Do you have a swollen battery? Check this thread.

I have a similar problem. My track pad stops working for a couple secs every min or so and the right click function does not work.
