Hey guys,

trying to figure out if I really need the Pro or would the Macbook be ok to produce some stuff in Logic 7. It wouldn't be my only machine. I have a G5 dual 2.7 for final production and mixing... I would like to use the Macbook with Logic as a studio away from my studio from time to time.

Anybody running Logic on their Macbook's here? I'd like to hear about your experiences

thanks

I don't run Logic, but I do run Pro Tools and I'd assume it to be a similar load on the system. I've had no problem getting projects done on my MacBook, and actually prefer it to my G5 iMac now.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Logic is not a graphics program. Hence, there really is no reason the MBP would benefit you, except for a small bit of CPU speed if you went for a higher end MBP. Get the MacBook no question.

Also, don't post [near] identical posts, choose a forum, and stick with it.

ANd sorry for the similar posts but its hard to get opinions from both Macbook owners AND Macbook Pro owners if I don't post in both places.

Except that since for logic they are essentially the same computer with different screen sizes you don't really need to ask in both places. It will behave identically on both systems, but on one you'll have more screen space than the other.
