Well this time I can't quite blame Apple...

What happened? I lost that teeny weeny little plastic cover of the magsafe plug! Spent hours looking for it, couldn't find it, and am distressed! Don't know how I'll live without it ...Apple should have attached a little cord to it so it stays with the plug...now my plug is going to be exposed to the elements...

Might get a new power supply unit...unless anyone knows of an alternative, or willing to donate theirs to me...anyone?

Dude! Don't Cry MAN! Go to the apple store. They keep tons of these little extras around. At least when I popped off and lost a key off a powerbook they replaced it Gratis.

crap, i threw that thing away as soon as I opened the box. I don't even protect my magsafe from the "elements". I don't leave it out in the rain either, so I guess that helps.

Was I supposed to keep it?

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

You didn't need to keep the cap on the old ones, either.

I don't know what the fuss is. The caps are more for show than anything else.

i dont know, the old one bent really easily. go to the official forums, some people there have one through 5 or more. i went through 4 myself. five minutes in a backpack without the cap is a disaster.
