This is a peripheral question and in no way MacBook specific, but any digital camera should work fine.

There's so many options,
budget,
Mega pixels
size of the camera
shooting styles, action, versus portaits
desire to change lense
Memory card preferences

I could keep going but I'll say that I have the Nikon D70s and its an excellent camera and recommend it highly.

This should be under peripherals but any digital camera pretty much works. I like Canon cameras and Olympus cameras. They seem to have good quality. I use a Canon Powershot S50 and it is a great camera, good quality, and easy to use. Nikons are also very nice cameras.

A choice of digital camera is entirely dependent on photographic and budgetary needs, and in no way whatsoever related to the choice of computer.

And yeah, this is totally the wrong forum for peripherals questions.
