In an effort to prevent discoloration on my white MacBook, I purchased the standard Shieldzone kit to apply to the palm rests and trackpad areas. After four days, I am seeing discoloration underneath the protective film. Isn't this proof enough that the discoloration is not caused by oil and/or perspiration from users?

Don't get me wrong, I have no hatred towards Apple. I would just like to get an answer or resolution aside from this being a cosmetic wear and tear issue...

My MacBook has been my favorite Apple computer to date. Why hasn't there been an announcement by Apple?

My 10 day old MacBook has not shown any discoloration yet but I'm sending it back for an exchange due to the pinkish tint screen and unresponsive trackpad button.

Well this may confirm one hypothesis that the discoloration is a result of the heat effecting the plastic causing the issue

How long did you use the MacBook BEFORE you got the shield?
