I have had my new 15inch powerbook for four months and love it. In the last few weeks though, I have noticed that the titanium case has buckled and dented in places. On the right hand underneath side there is a bend or dint in the case. It is only on that side, it doesn't extend across the whole width of the computer. Also, at the front of the computer above the opening mechanism the titanium has buckled outwards. I have not dropped my mac, and nothing has fallen on it. I carry it in a padded crumpler bag. Has anyone else experienced any weird buckling of their titanium shells? I'm worried that if I take it back to the store they will accuse me of having dropped it. Is there any other plausible explanation?

If it's a "new" 15", it'll be Aluminium, not Titanium.
The front catch buckle is normal as far as I know, both my old 15" G4 and my new MacBook Pro have this.

Thanks fivefish, do you think it will harm the working order of the computer. I got black screen of death the other night + programs freezing and shutting without warning. But since then, it's been fine.

As long as you really haven't dropped your machine, I can't see why this would affect it's operation.

Well, they don't just get dents in them. Something happened to it... and where there's force to one side, there's give somewhere else ("buckling") on the case.
