Intel has released the T2700. It's a 2.33 GHz Yonah. What do you guys think - will Apple bump the MBP again or will they act as if nothing had happened and wait till fall to introduce a Merom MBP?

I think we'll see it available as an upgrade within days.
But given the old 2->2.16 upgrade price ($200 difference in 1Ku prices, $300 upgrade at Apple), it's going to be a $300 upgrade from the 2.16.

well, the price of the 2.1 chip just dropped by 200$. it might take apple a few weeks to clear it's inventory of those chips, but if they don't speed bump or drop prices within the next month, then they're not following their SOP, which is to try and stay competitive.

All the other PC laptops will have these chips in the next few weeks. One of apple's whole reasons for going intel was to be able to keep up with the jones's. They'll drop them into the mbp's, maybe drop the price on the macbook by 50$ and then have the speeds more separate.

BPB in 2.3 and 2.13. MB in 2.0 and 1.83.
