Hi all,

I found this thread by googling macbook + crash. My new macbook crashed twice recently, both times with the AC power plugged in, while in sleep mode/lid closed. I was running Word and Firefox. Everything seemed fine, but when I went to keep working, I realized my machine had crashed. I got the "os x quit unexpectedly" message.

Previously, I owed a Ti-book. 5 years running smooth, and now, within weeks, it's like I'm on a PC laptop!

Any ideas? Is this due to importing older software on new hardware?

ever since updating to 10.4.7 my macbook has crashed 3 times already

Ditto...after the update, I have had a fdew crashes - while simply having a couple browser windows open...

Maybe we need another update

FWIW my Powerbook crashed several times today (either KP or freeze) after I'd installed 10.4.7. I had iTunes open each time. The iTunes update this morning seems to have fixed it (fingers crossed).

Does any of that sound like what you're having problems with?
