For all u Pismo rockers out there running Tiger and are disappointed that Apple still hasn't addressed the battery saying "calculating... remaining" and its inability to calculate time til fully charged in 7 updates, you can now download a fix for it. It was the hack that was talked in the other thread. So Eriamjh helped to neatly pack it in a .sit format for easy download and mBurns has graciously donated some of his web space to host it.
Download it HERE

And if you find that it causes shudders of joy running through you to have this nifty feature restored to your machine in Tiger, please PM Eriamjh and mBurns and drop them a quick note of thanks!

enjoy,
phuture

Can the pismo's take 2 batteries? I am guessing due to the double battery icon...

Hey Guys is it possible for someone to put the fix back up the link is dead. I bought a Pismo off of ebay and when it came it had a 50% charge. I popped out the hard drive, put a 60gb in, firewired Tiger to it, and since then I just get a Calculating message and the pismo appears not to be charging and if I unplug it, it will go to sleep, but the battery last when I boot it to the firmware. Well any help would be greatly appreciated

Here's the original thread with the instructions. I guess I could host the file for others, but I haven't set it up yet.

I went in as root did a tar on the original folder, copied the supplied one in there, changed all the permissions to match the original, rebooted, and still a no go. Must be something else. I did notice today the guy that sold it to me gave me a powerbook duo power supply, so maybe the amps are less on it. It shows 24v 1.04a.
