Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask the question but here is goes.

I recently picked up a Pismo on Ebay and it works very well. As I was reinstalling 10.3.4 I noticed that the DVD disk was bad. I went to my local Apple dealer here in Spokane and they could not help me.

So here is my question.

I would like to connect the Pismo to my B & W 350 via the Firewire port and install copy everything to my Powerbook. Is this possible. I know that I could copy one drive to another when I upgraded my drive in my B & W. So can I do this?

Thanks,

Michael, KD7GHZ

Migration Assistant is your friend, but I can not recall it being available under Panter…

http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/setup/

Then I think you would use SuperDuper to clone your actual hard disk content to the one inside the Pismo, -via FireWire Target Disk Mode as you say-

http://shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/S...scription.html

Please note that if I can not recall wrong, Yosemite Power Macs (Blue & White) are not able to start up as FireWire Target Disk Mode, so you actually would have to boot the Pismo holding the 'T' key down once you have attached it to the Yosemite's FireWire port.

I downloaded Superduper and hooked my Pismo to the B&W via the Firewire cable. Used Superduper and it, Voila, it works.

Thanks, now I will see about getting the DVD fixed or replaced.

Wegenermedia.com has all kinds of drives for Pismos. Good service.
He can be fixed -- you can't.
