my pismo powerbook G3 with osx 10.3.9, 500MHz, 1MB cache, 128 MB, 12 GB HD, is running so slowly online, doing anything takes many times longer than ever after downloading limewire.

is this a adware spyware issue, that i have to correct, a memory allotment issue or other?

any tips would be much appreciated.

is limewire open?
ie is it set to open when you power up?
(look in sys prefs, accounts, login items)...

it may be that limewire is running, using up system resources...

I had the same issues when i used limewire. You can adjust the download bandwith, but try tu use CABOS. It doesn't make my ibook slow, except when it's connecting to
14" ibook g4 /1,42Ghz/60Gb/1,5Gb RAM!
