I have a 512MB PC-133 chip, can I put it in an ibook G4? I know it if it works it will be slower, but I don't know if it will work.

That won't work at all. G4 iBooks require PC2100 RAM (PC2700 for late/fast G4 iBooks).
Take a look at Kingston's site and use their configurator to figure out what RAM you need.

x2 on the PC2100. Isn't the chip itself different then the PC-133?

VERY different. PC2100 is DDR RAM, while PC133 is SDRAM. Different arcitecture altogether.

yea.. won't even fit. If you're PC133 is a so-dimm (about 3 inches by 1 inch), I might be willing to trade you for a PC2700 which would fit in your iBook (512 also).
