Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my Lombard G3 333. When I plug in the power adapter, all that happens is the power LED lights up for about 1-2 seconds and goes back off. It never attempts to power up. I get the same results with the battery in or out. Also, the battery doesn't seem to charge when plugged in to AC. I have completely taken the little guy apart and carefully inspected the AC power board and jack, solder joints, and looked for fried components to no avail. I did connect the AC/Sound board to the AC adapter when it was removed and did get the correct 24v reading from the solder joints with a multimeter, so I'm pretty sure the AC adapter isn't at fault.
I've read through as many posts that I could find, and never saw the exact symptom that my PB is giving (LED lighting for 1-2 seconds, then no power or charge). Hopefully one of you guys that still remember what a Lombard was

, has seen the same issue before.
I really can't afford to just start replacing parts with no idea of what to try first (AC/Sound board, Charging circuit, etc.) It would be nice to get this unit back up and running for my kids to learn on, instead of them learning how to dodge malware on a PC.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance....
