Hi i bought my MacBook 3 days ago. Ive noticed that the battery life dosnt last more then 1 Hour 50 minites, or 2 Hours. I have the screen less than half (because my eyes hurt with the brightness full), Airport On, Bluetooth off. and iTunes on. And a couple of programs running, LIke Safari, iTunes, iCal, and Msn. I calibrated the battery and noticed no change in the battery life .. is it possible that the battery is faulty and i need to get it replaced? or do i need to do something else? i always fully charge the battery then drain it and charge and drain. I have been reading review online about the MacBook and almost every person claims there MacBook gives them atleast 3 hours under the same circumstances. Please help .. !! Thanks!

hmm, you might take it back to the apple store... all the reports say that it should be getting about 3:15 with what you're doing with it... I would contact Apple support or go to the Mac store and get it figured out.

its funny .. because teh battery takes about twice as much time to charge then to discharge. this morning i put it on charge at 12:30. and it completed charging at 3:30! thats just ****. this evening i put it on charge at 9:00 pm, and took it off charge now 5 minites ago . thats like almost 4 hours! i was using the laptop .. but that shouldnt make a difference. now im gonna do a test and see how long it lasts .. i took it off power 12:50. using teh screen brightness lower then half .. the 4th square to be exact. using msn, iTunes, Safari. The battery time is showing as 1:37 remaining. lets see how long it lasts ..

Hi, someone on the apple discussion board told me what to do and how to fix it. it turn out that i opened up the Activity monitor and there was a process taking up 98.7% of the cpu!!! it was my printer software driver .. when i first got the macbook i tried to install the driver for my printer on it.. and thats what was turning the battery to **** .. cause it was sucking so much CPU!! and when i diabled that .. my battery went from 1:25 to 3:15 .. and its just great .. ive been using it since 12:00pm .. and its 2:40pm right now .. and the battery is @ 53%!! ive had airport on, screen dimmed,(thats how i like it), iTunes on, and msn and Safari!! .. damm. also the program called coconutBattery .. its very usefull .. but after turing that off .. the battery time jumped 10 minites more. and another thing .. my fan dosnt even turn on either!! the computers temp is at 65 degrees .. and has been between 57- 65. !! im amazed!!
