This has been happening for a while and turning off the speakers fixes it but I just wanted to know if this happens with everyone or not. When I wake up my powerbook (12) and have my Soundsticks II connected it makes a loud popping sound coming from the speakers. Turning them off fixes this but if anyone has the Soundsticks sometimes when you think you turn them off they really arent. If there is no fix this wont damage the speakers will it? Thanks

It's not the soundsticks. I have a 12", when you wake it from a sleep, it gets a lag for a minute, so what happens is then you try to adjust the sound instantly, the little pic of the speaker cone shows up and keeps blinking on and off and the pop sounds are actually just the sounds the book makes when it is adjusting the sound, they are just evenely spaced about 5 seconds apart. Then the lag goes away and it's all good. I'm not sure if that's what's causing the problem, but if it is, it's quite normal.
I miss the days of the G5 and XPS Pentium 4 running side by side as high-end machines.

I second that.. is the lap's sound card which makes the popping noise and the sound sticks are the ones who just amplifies them.
