Hey, i was wondering if the G4 YoYo Ac Adapter works with the G3 500mhz White Ibook? The G3 YoYo only works with G3 "Clamshell" Ibooks and from what i can see the G4 YoYo Works with the G3 "White" Ibooks. Can anyone confirm this?

Do you have a model number from the AC adapter? I used an adapter from the Powrbook 2400 on my PBG3 (Lombard). If the connectors, voltages, amperages, and tip polarity are all the same then it will work. Otherwise, no guarantees.

Hey did some extensive research and found it WILL work. Connector/input/output looks just right

The VERY first model G4 PowerBooks that shipped in January, 2001 came with a "yo-yo" type AC adapter that uses the same connector as the 500MHz G3 iBook that shipped five months later. However, for at least two years before that, the G3 PowerBooks and the "clamshell" type iBooks shipped with "yo-yo" type AC adapters that have a different connector. So, there's a chance that it will work, but there's a much larger chance it won't work. The connector is very similar, but they're not directly compatible. If the AC adapter is the wrong one, you can get an adapter from Madsonline.
