So I opened the top lid to investigate the noisy right speaker fan and here's what I find.

For anyone whose opened their mbp, does yours look like this?

As you can see, there is a black plastic rim surroudning the speaker itself, but the area where the wire is, you can see it looks like the melted plastic rim?

If this isn't suppose to happen, either way, I won't be able to report this to Apple because they don't accept machines which have been opened and i need to have my machine serviced.

Then why did you open it?

The picture is fuzzy, but that looks like the solder connection to the speaker, not melted plastic.

I don't see anything melted-tiny speakers of this type tend to look shiny and smooth because they ARE shiny and smooth. That part you say looks like melted plastic looks like a wire retainer to me.

I'll be interested to hear from someone who has details of what that area is supposed to look like.

The kind of plastic used for this type of application shouldn't melt at any temperature you could possibly encounter inside a laptop computer-the rest of the computer would start melting too.

Take a look at this pictures from the iFixit guide. It's hard to tell, but I can't see that there is anything terribly out of order with your speaker.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it if everything works and you're not smelling burning plastic.

There is noting wrong with the speaker. As mentioned above its probably solder or some other kind of adhesive used to keep the wire in place. What kind of noise is the speaker making? Maybe its the well known Mooing noise?
