I have a 15" Powerbook purchased in August 2003 that has performed pretty well to date. A couple months ago I noticed that the wire going from the power supply into the back of the computer is a bit frayed right around he connection point. Also recently the battery doesn't seem to be recharging as well. I have left the PB closed and plugged in all night, to have only 15 minutes or so of battery time when I unplug the cord in the morning. Will both of these issues be resolved by getting a new power supply or does this also indicate a battery issue?

Any recommendations on 3rd party products for replacing the power supply? I went to the apple store site and wasn't really sold on their replacement part given the price.
