Hello fellow MacNN users,
Decided to go for a coffee at work. My co-worker looking over the place and someone attempted to steal the laptop right in front of him. I was very happy that the LCD didn't smash and the powerbook lock held up. So if you don't have one already go get one!

Congrats on thwarting the thief. But hey, I thought Canada was crime free given all that wonderful socialized medicine and education. . . Oops, sorry about straying from the PL with this response.

It sucks that the case was bent. since your coworker saw the person, does that mean that they were caught and punished?

Nope he got away. : [
Largest mall in Canada. If he comes back I'll have to hold back any vigilantism and call Mall security. I have no problem poping the case and bending back the case, but I hope it doesn't happen again.

Still the Canadian government doesn't supply Macintosh laptops for everyone…… yet.
