got my macbook NEARLY two weeks ago, and it's been really nice. But the other day i couldn't get the computer to turn on, just a grey screen and had to force shutdown.

it happened again today, so i phoned applecare and have come to the conclusion to send it back. Hey, I get a brand new machine for free!

Hopefully this one will be completely immaculate, unlike the current macbook i have which when recieved had light marks on the trackpad button, and a thin line on the top. Is this anything to do with it being custom made with a ram upgrade?

has anyone else sent theirs back for similar reasons? it usually does turn on, and has only not twice (had to zap the pRAM). the thing is if i see how it goes i wont get a replacement after the 14 days, just a repair with a laptop that probably has a few more 'light' scratches on it

Sorry to hear about your woes...I've had my MB for about two weeks and it has been a pleasurable, flawless experience. I hope your replacment machine provides the same experience!
