You can get the 2.0 Ghz from Infinity Micro for about $1550.

That's pretty damn cheap for a MBP. How can they afford to charge that amount?

There are a few resellers sellling them for around that price. I think Apple is dumping inventory to get ready for a release of new Mac Books pretty soon.

I bought one for $1529, shipped, a couple of days ago. It's on its way to me.

but what about the flaws that people are having.... i'm curious if the inventory that macmall is shipping from is new enough that it doesn't have the problems that early builds experienced.

to break it down... i got a 1.83ghz for $1200. is the performance difference that drastic between the 1.8 and the 2.0 that i should consider selling the 1.8 and buying a 2.0? i'll definitely be dropping in a couple gigs of memory so keep that in mind.

MacMall is totally unreliable and has terrible ratings at the BBB. Just so you know.
