I have a ibook G3 here that was give to me, it will not charge thebattery and does not turn on with either the power chord in or the battery plugged in. I got a brand new power adpater and it shows the geen light when pluged into the ibook but no power, no nothing.

I tried the external reset buton and removing airport/extra ram... nothing...

What should I try next? I can open it up and try restetting the logic board or seeing if the plug is in need of soldering... Any ideas otherwise?

Depends on what kind of mood the manager in, if he seems grumpy, come back when he is happier. Seriously.

are these known to have logic board problems?

Edit: Found this:
http://www.apple.com/support/ibook/faq/

But it doesn't have any of those symptoms, plus this ibook looks like it has been opened before, will they still repair it?

Yes, almost all G3s had logic board problems, they never completely fixed it.
They may repair it, but if they find something was broke due to carelessness, they won't.

Check the DC Input board (the board where the power adaptor plugs into)
