Does anyone know if the Mac Book Pro's released since Apple's official 'whine acknowledgment' will be pretty much guaranteed to be whine free if I buy now?

I had a MBP but I got a refund 4 weeks ago because they couldn't fix the whine (this was before the announcement). I need a new one by mid-September at the latest so I can wait for a few more weeks (until a MBP Merom release hopefully!), but I really want the machine to be 'whine free'!

since it will feature the merom, it is a Rev. A again so there might be som e other illnesses that might turn up or not we will know when it is out

I sent my macbook pro in had the logic board replaced it no longer fry my balls and my wife once again overtakes the whine title in my household since my macbook pro no longer whines

I had the new logic board put in about 10 days ago and I still have the whine. It's better, but it still is obnoxious. It now only occurs when the power cable is plugged in - when it's running on the battery it's silent. I just use QuietMBP when it's plugged in to shut the stupid thing up.
