I went to the Apple store today to ask if they could somehow fix the problem. I've tried numerous earphones and headphones but only the left side would work. I've had this laptop for ten months so I'm still under warranty, but they're asking me for $400 to fix it. Is there any other way I could resolve this without shelling out that much? What I don't get is that the warranty is still effective, and I've brought my mac there previously for a heating problem and they fixed it at no charge. But now they're asking me to pay for something that's a faulty craftsmanship on their part.
