Hey everybody,

Just wondering if anyone is seeing any inconsistent behavior with Front Row on MacBooks. I have run into two 2.0GHz models that do the same thing. That is, Front Row does not activate with the Menu button, however the volume and sleep buttons work perfectly fine. I have also verified the remote operation using iSight and also tried multiple remotes with the same effect. One machine just received a fresh erase and install and still the same.

Weird...

Update: reinstalling the 10.4.7 combo update seems to have fixed this for me.

Also, only briefly depress the menu button. Holding it down for more than a second or so results in no action. Simply pressing and immediately releasing the menu button activates FrontRow on my Macbook Pro.

Can you activate FR using the apple + Esc key combo?

Cheers
