A few weeks ago, I posted about how my powerbooks battery went into sudden death. Tried resetting the power manager, etc.. but nothing worked.
This morning, I power up my powerbook, and notice that it isn't plugged in. Suddenly I have nearly 3 hours of charge time remaining, and it seems to be running fine on battery power. So, I fire up coconutBattery for the first time since my battery started working again, and what do I see?
Current Battery Capacity: 4015 mAh
Original Capacity: 4200 mAh
Battery-Loadcycles: 462
Age of your Mac (and in this case battery, since it is original): 46 Months.
So my question is this: HOW ON EARTH can this old battery, with so many load cycles, still have 95% of its original capacity?!?! I am pretty sure this is accurate, as before the battery "died" a few weeks ago, I was still getting 2 1/2 hours when flying.
