Hey my macbook frooze so I turned off the power button manually to shut down the computer and now it wont turn back on. When I turn the computer on it just stays in this white screen while it is on. After a few minutes a "?" appears in a box. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I would love to see a MacBook "frooze." That would be really cool! ;-)

Anyway, the ? (in a little folder icon, I'm guessing) means that your machine did not find a valid OS to boot from. You may need to boot from your install DVD and do a clean install of the OS, maintaining your settings and files.

To boot from the install DVD insert the DVD (if you're able to), and while booting hold down the 'c' key.

By the way, it may be helpful if you told everyone what you were doing when it froze, any new applications, updates, etc.? The more info the better.

I put in the AppleCare cd and I was holding down the c key but nothing happens. I cant get it out now. haha I will try to bring it to the genius bar. I guess I will have to get another new mac.

To get the CD out, start the computer and hold down the mouse button. This will eject the cd.

Then, put the install DVD in (NOT the AppleCare CD) and hold the C button while you start.
