Everytime I reboot the computer I have to reset the PRAM in order for it to boot up. The screen just comes on and is black until I reset the PRAM in which it clears everything up for me. Does anyone know what would cause this? I have the most up to date OS X and I updated the firmware. This problem started happening before I updated the firmware.

Go to your display preferences in system prefs, change resolution to something other than 1280x800, change it back 1280x800, and reboot+resest PRAM.

I have a similar ordeal as you...

I think it really started ever since i installed the drivers for my Canon MP170 Printer. But it only happens when I reboot because of some installation or update that needs a reboot. Its pretty weird.
