Called Mushkin today and a sales guy told me that the 'Apple' RAM better meet's Apple's specs w/ regard to timing. Sounds nice. Either chip would work fine I suspect.
Ordered a pair of the 'Apple' RAM myself.

My first RAM in May was from Outpost and was Mushkin with a timing error; there's a customer service rep/tech named Cris Doud that sent out replacement RAM even before they received some back.
Their RAM works great and even if they shouldn't OEM their own RAM, they know what they're doing and go the extra mile.

I am using Mushkin right now in my BlackBook and it has been perfect. No issues at all and a great price!

Macs tend to be pickier about RAM timing; I'd go with the slightly more expensive part. HouseSold, your "defective" part could easily have been just a part that wasn't quite up to Apple's specs but otherwise fine-like for some hobyist's home-built PC. I've never seen a PC hiccough over RAM, though I have seen them slow down because of mixed speed RAM.

They were actually mis-labelled at Outpost and were PC4200 when Mushkin re-tested them.
They overnighted a matched 'Mac' pair to us which I used without issue in a MacBook, but now moved to a new Toshiba Duo currently and used these same memory (2gb). Funny how the Toshiba Duo will address 4gb, but Mac only 2gb. (I needed a 15" screen)
I know..............there's nothing like OSX.

I picked up Mushkin's Apple certified RAM and NCIX shipped it to me for the next morning. I installed it and besides the initial problems I had with the L-Bracket the computer is now flying.
Are there any programs to test memory and make sure that it is performing well?
