So, I was installing two gigs of ram today on my MacBook. Installed... screws were a bit of a pain.... whatever. I turn it on and get 1gig... a little pissed but this does happen. I check both sticks of ram to make sure they are in there nice and snug.

Now I get nothing but a white flashing light when I turn on my MacBook! Eek. Haven't called Apple just yet... hoping to settle this before dealing with them.

Yes, I tried the old sticks of RAM... same thing.

Logic board is probably fried. Happened to a friend of mine when he installed third-party RAM. Take it to your nearest Apple Store for repair/replacement.

Nope, fixed the problem. Apparently the L-Bracket has to be securely placed back into position or the MacBook won't fuction properly. I got this from one of Apple's own documents. I adjusted and adjusted the bracket until my computer and BOTH gigs finally worked. Now, I run beachball free.

I knew I could fix the bloody thing without Apple's help.

How many flashing lights?

Had similar thing happen in a PowerMac. White light was flashing 3 times, looked it up in the manual and it stated that 3 flashes were incompatible memory types blah blah blah.

The lights continued to flash... no string of flashing lights or anything like that. Good to know for future reference though.

That's weird. I ran my MacBook for a few days straight without the L bracket attached without any problems.
