I dont know if this has been posted. I just found it on apple's website while registering for my replacement battery. Certain powerbooks have memory slot problems. Apparently one of the slots wont recongnize the memory that is installed. Apple has extended the warrenty to fix this problem.

This has been a known issue with Powerbooks..
A lot of users have sent their systems in because of faulty lower ram slot module..

Its good Apple recognized it and actually extended the warranty

mine has that same issue, but somehow my productioni range falls outside of their numbers.

yeah, after a few weeks of random kernel panics that got worse when I moved it the lower slot became unrecognized...hss anyone had this repair done yet? I'm curious how long it takes since I cant be without mine and still be able to work...
