My powerbook is having some trouble lately. If it has been sitting awhile it will start up fine, making all of the usual noises (basically hard drive noise). When it gets to the finder it will freeze after two seconds. Completely frozen, the only thing I can do is hold the power button to shut it down. When I restart it, it doesn't make all the usual mechanical sound, just a very light "whirling" or "spinning up" sound. Then its just black screen, does nothing except caps lock and num lock button light up. Two weeks ago I started it up (before this problem) and the clock had reset itself to 1969. After I changed it there were no problems. The battery is fine, but it is included in the recall. To check the serial number I removed it while the computer was on, but plugged into AC power. Please, help!
