Anyone had troubles with their 700MHz iBook not restarting? I have seen the posts with the macbooks restarting with colored vertical lines. Mine has done that once, the other times it just bongs then the screen remains black. I have tried resetting the pram, but I can't even get it to reset (no reset "bongs"). I am trying to figure out whether it is the 10.4.7 update or it complete hardware failure......Any help?

If you shine a torch on the screen, can you see an outline of anything? It could be that your graphics chip has separated from the logic board or your screen cable could be broken.
