Hi all,

Can this be done: Since I can watch PAL format DVDs on my Mac, can I just connect the Mac to a TV, Play the DVD in OS/X's DVD Player and then have the output go to a TV and thus, use that setup to watch a PAL DVD on a TV?

Thanks! Okay then, so, what cables do I need and how do I setup/config the Mac?

Hi,

With your PowerBook G4 1.5 GHz you have an S-video output port.

What video inputs does your television have? If your television has S-video inputs, you could use an S-video to S-video cable to connect them.

Once connected, turn on your TV and select the video input. Then turn on your PowerBook.

Now go to System preferences: Displays and you should be able to choose your TV as your Display.

Enjoy,
