SO I got an Old iBook from one of my friends,

G3
Non Clam-Shell
12"
500MHz
348Mb Ram
Mac OSX 10.3.0

So whenever I press the I key nothing happens. At first I assumed the key had just died. But then I cam back five minutes later and there were 2 pages of "i"s and counting. So I hit the Delete Key and they stopped.

I timed it and it doesn't seem to matter what app its in, its about 5 minutes. Sometimes it won't happen until after the computer falls asleep and I wake it up by moving my finger on the track pad.

My First thought was to Reinstall OS X but I only have 10.4 which came with my MBP which wouldn't work anyways. I'll update it as soon as the computer admin adds the computers MAC ID to the network.

Any Ideas?

Is it software or hardware? Or worse Firmware? Will Apple send me replacement OSX CDs?

Thanks
