Recently my video went out and I cannot get any signal on the screen or the video out. The screen showed a bunch of horrizontal lines and pixels. It seems like the video chip is bad, is it worth repairing???
Thanks

Is this a G3 or G4? If it is a G4 there is an issue where the video card is touching something else and it disrupts the signal. Do a Google search for something like "iBook G4 video issues." Welcome to MacNN

You probably need your logic board to be replaced. (Had video problems as well on my iBook G4 800).

According to Apple, this problem is now in the SOL phase. My iBook of nearly four years recently experienced the same problem. Parts + labour to fix it cost about the same as a new Macbook.
