Can I hook up a 20" Cinema to my iBook?

Is there anyway to hook up a 20" Apple Cinema Display to my iBook? It's a 800Mhz G4 12" iBook.

I have a DVI to VGA adapter. Can I plug this into a VGA to Mini VGA adapter?

No.

Well, not without a $300 VGA to DVI converter.

But you can hook up a 20" Dell LCD (which are about $300 to begin with) without any additional hardware.
