So I have had a problem with this powerbook that I'm building. First of all, its a 12 inch 1.33 ghz powerbook that was running 10.4.7. I posted this a while ago, but nobody knew what could be the problem.. Anyway, the deal was that it was scrolling extremely lagged in Safari and the finder and anything that used that rendering engine (textedit) but other apps ran fine (flock, word, etc) Well, I got sick of having this problem, so I downgraded to 10.4.6 and still had the same problem. I then tried 10.4.5 and it worked fine. Thats what I'm running now, and I have no problems scrolling or otherwise. But with the release of 10.4.8 around the corner, I need some advice... should I upgrade then? and also, might anyone have any speculation as to what my problem could be?
